First in the Benelux: Albe De Coker installs its brand new Heidelberg XL 105 8 colour machine.
This machine combines some brand new technological innovations resulting in unsurpassed productivity and quality.
A simultaneous plate change system allows us to replace the 8 printing plates by 8 new ones in less than one minute! Moreover an inline spectral colour control system will check and adjust the colours on both side of the printed sheet without the need of taking a control sheet out of the press.
This results in extremely high productivity combined with a predictable and constant print quality.

In November we will implement a high-performance saddlestitcher, enabling us to produce up to 14.000 brochures per hour.

Albe De Coker first Belgian printer ISO 12647-2 certified on Heidelberg XL press
The international ISO 12647-2 standard is the norm for quality printed material. The certificate establishes the maximum allowed tolerances throughout the entire printing process.
For you as customer this guarantees a predictable print result.
At Albe De Coker, each printing project is produced according to the ISO 12647-2 standard. This begins in the prepress phase with a thorough check of the files and the choice of the correct colour curve. There is daily monitoring by measuring the computer-to-plate installations and by the production of test plates. During printing, the sheets are spectrally measured. This checks and guarantees the dot gain and the colour consistency of your printed material.
This way of working is the result of our years of experience in quality printed material and the constant training of our employees in the latest technologies.
Large buyers of printed material and multinationals are increasingly requiring that their printed material is manufactured according to the ISO 12647-2 standard. At Albe De Coker, this is the standard from 1 to 1,000,000 copies.

2007 will turn out to be nothing less than a historic year for Albe De Coker. The merger of Albe and De Coker leads us to an investment programme of seven million euro.
We extended our premises by adding an extra 4.500 m² to the existing building. This means that we now have a total surface of 9.800 m² available for production.
We install a new pre-press workflow as well as two new computer-to-plate machines.
And finally we invest heavily in new offset presses: in March three new Heidelberg XL presses are being installed. At the same time we implement the new ISO 12647 workflow to guarantee a consistent high print quality
