History

Albe De Coker was created in 2007 when two long-existing Antwerp based printing companies, Albe and De Coker, decided to join their strengths. As of April 2007 the merged company operates from one site in Hoboken, near Antwerp. Our team of 110 qualified people dispose of state-of-the-art machinery to produce a wide range of printed products in the most efficient way.

Albe was founded in 1947 by Louis Albrecht and Wim Beyers. It didn’t take long for the company to grow and become one of the leading printing companies in Belgium. The emphasis was put on medium and large high quality printruns. The extensive finishing department allows the company to produce unique products.

Frans De Coker founded his printing company in 1877 in the centre of Antwerp. Five generations succeeded eachother, building a printing company reknowned for its quality printwork. In 1987 the continuous growth forced the company to move to a new production site in the Antwerp suburb of Hoboken. De Coker specialised in small and medium printruns in offset, but was also one of the early adaptors of digital printing. The combination of digital and offset printing together with extensive logistic services gave the company a unique position as supplier of total document solutions.
